Overall Rating: Excellent
O'Brien Estate has been producing some of Napa Valley's finest wines for over 20 years now. They only use traditional Bordeaux wine making practices and French oak barrels to allow the wine to fully express its nuances. The wine is superb and the owners, Barb and Bart, always welcome members to their exclusive vineyard. |
 |
Wine Quality: Phenomenal
Wines from the O'Brien Estate have been winning Gold Medals for years now and you can taste why with every sip. Here's a recent list of their Gold Medals: American Fine Wine Competition, Florida International Wine Challenge, Orange County Fair Wine Competition, American Fine Wine Competition, and many more! |
 |
Wine Education: Very Good
The O'Brien Estate website provides a wealth of information on the wines you will be receiving, including the history of the vineyard, the organic practices they follow, the wineries soil types, the elevation of the vineyard and how that effects the wine, how they space the vines (which effects the flavor of the wine), etc. |
 |
Pricing: Very Good
O'brien Estate has several wine clubs to choose from that range from $25 to $36 a bottle. These are Gold Medal winning wines, so they tend to be more expensive than wines from some of the other wine clubs we've reviewed. Be sure to join the Inner Circle club to get the best value and highest discount on future orders. |

 |
Wine Quality: Phenomenal
Coastal Vineyards is the only wine club that offers such high quality wines from the Paso Robles and Santa Barbara Region. Ever since we did a trip down the region, we've fallen in love with quality of wine available there. Here are the types of wine clubs you can get via the Coastal Vineyards wine club: Bordeaux, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Zinfandel, etc. |
 |
Wine Education: Very Good
Coastal Vineyard does a great job of sharing everything they know about the wines they send. They don't focus their efforts on
artistic labels or fancy names or even worse, the Wine Spectator rating. Instead, they only teach you how each and every wine you receive is custom crafted by specialty winemakers who are still faithful to the art of making wine
with passion that can be tasted in each and every bottle opened, poured and enjoyed. |
 |
Pricing: Very Good
Prices range from $18.75 a bottle to $35.00 a bottle depending on which club you sign up for. Sign up for a one year membership to get the best deal. |
